IMDB PROFILE Date of Birth
20 September 1986, North Carolina, USA
TriviaWIKIPEDIAAldis Hodge was born in New York in 1986. While Hodge's mother is
from the state of Florida, his father is Dominican.
At the age of ten, Hodge began playing the violin.
In addition to acting, Hodge writes, paints and attends the Art Center
College of Design in Pasadena, California, although he does take breaks
from attending full time due to his acting work. Hodge was awarded his Leverage role, Alec Hardison, on his twenty-first
birthday.
Aldis Hodge started his acting career at the age of three, when he
went on a print job with his brother and was chosen for an ad in Essence
magazine. Hodge was doing print ads and commercials when he was bitten
by the acting bug. At the age of 9, Hodge was cast in the Tony-winning
revival of Showboat on Broadway. During that period, he also appeared in
several movies, including Die Hard with a Vengeance and Bed
of Roses.
Hodge headed to Los Angeles to continue his acting career and quickly
landed several recurring television roles, including the role of Voodoo
on Friday Night Lights. He has appeared in such shows as Supernatural,
Girlfriends, American Dreams and City of Angels. Other TV appearances
include Bones, CSI, ER, Cold Case, Charmed and Boston Public. His movie
credits include the independent The Stone House, Edmond, the Coen
brothers’ remake of The Lady Killers and Big Momma’s House. CHARACTER BACKGROUND: HARDISON
He is a computer/Internet specialist and hacker. He is a self-proclaimed geek and science
fiction fan, with an easy going manner and dry, unusual wit. Due to his
opposing style with Eliot the two have a seemingly antagonistic
relationship, though in reality it is more of a sibling-rivalry.
Hardison was raised by a foster parent, an older woman he refers to as
"Nana". Hardison can hack into most—if not all—forms of electronics and
is rarely caught. Hardison designed and assembled the computer and
television systems in the team's headquarters, and is responsible for
the electronic applications used by the team on their cons. He is also
very attached to his electronics (and in particular his van) and shown
to become very depressed when the con takes a turn for the worse and
requires they destroy his electronics to make their escape. Later in the
series, he seems to work side-by-side with Sophie as a grifter.
Hardison also seems to have a crush on Parker, taking delight whenever
they must "pretend" to kiss. However due to Parker's unusual social
nature it is unknown if she is even aware of this.
